Swiss-Prot group, SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, Geneva, Switzerland. Rhea (www.rhea-db.org) is a FAIR resource of expert curated biochemical reaction data described using the ChEBI ontology of small molecules (www.ebi.ac.uk/chebi/). Rhea reaction data is freely available via our website, API and SPARQL endpoint (sparql.rhea-db.org/sparql) in a range of formats for cheminformatics and semantic web users. Rhea is the reference vocabulary for enzyme annotation in UniProtKB (www.uniprot.org), and provides the basis for advanced chemical ontology and chemical structure searches in this core resource of protein sequences and functional annotation (PMID: 31688925). In this presentation, I will introduce Rhea, enzyme annotation in UniProtKB as well as a range of advanced SPARQL queries that link Rhea & UniProt to other complementary knowledge resources such as ChEBI, Bgee, ChEMBL and others.
